Abstract:Oral dose of 200mg doxycycline (DOXY) was administered before exodontia to 18 patients. The drug concentration of DOXY in the gingival crevicular fluid (GCF) was measured from 30 to 160 minutes after oral administration. The drug concentrations in the effusion from the exodontia wound and in saliva were also measured.
As a result, 90% of MIC of DOXY against Porphyromonas gingivalis and Fusobacterium spp. was 0.25μg/mL, and 80% of MIC against Prevotella intermedia was 2μg/mL. The average drug level of DOXY in GCF was 2.4μg/mL, which is considered to be enough antibacterial concentration against pathological bacterial flora. In addition, the average drug concentrations in the effusion from the exodontias wound and in saliva were 1.62μg/mL and 0.24μg/mL, respectively.

Key Words:ドキシサイクリン (Doxycycline (DOXY))、 歯周ポケット内滲出液 (Gingival crevicular fluid (GCF))、 薬剤濃度 (drug level)、 歯周炎 (Periodontitis)
